- What African wisdom says about failure
The claim is that failure is a teacher and those who never fail never learn. Notice which proverb the tradition attaches to it: not one about falling, but one about asking — the one who asks questions does not lose the way. The prescribed response to being lost is to speak up, and the proverb finishes the thought itself: better to ask than to remain lost.
