Bahá'í Faith

The Oneness of God

God is one, unknowable in essence, yet manifest through divine attributes and progressive revelation through the Manifestations.

The Bahá'í Faith teaches that there is one God — the Creator of all existence — who is utterly transcendent and beyond human comprehension in essence. Yet this same God is intimately known through divine attributes such as love, justice, wisdom, and mercy, and through the teachings of the Manifestations of God who appear in every age to guide humanity.

He is the one God, the Peerless, the All-Powerful, the All-Knowing.

Bahá'u'lláh, Prayers and Meditations

Bahá'í theology carefully balances divine transcendence and immanence, avoiding both anthropomorphism and deistic remoteness.
