Physical health is a divine gift to be cared for; the Bahá'í Faith supports both spiritual healing and modern medicine.
The Bahá'í writings affirm both spiritual healing through prayer and the importance of modern medical science. The Faith does not oppose medical treatment as spiritually inferior; rather, it integrates prayer and medicine as complementary resources. Abdu'l-Bahá predicted that future medicine would combine physical and spiritual understanding.
Healing is of two kinds: material and spiritual.
