The Yoga of Sacred Knowledge
This knowledge is the sovereign science, the supreme secret, supremely purifying, and directly realizable.
Krishna elevates spiritual knowledge as the highest form of understanding—raja vidya (sovereign science) and raja guhya (supreme secret). Unlike ordinary knowledge that informs, this wisdom transforms. It purifies the mind, liberates from bondage, and can be verified through direct experience. This framing positions spirituality not as blind belief but as empirical science of consciousness, verifiable by any sincere practitioner.
This knowledge is the king of education, the most secret of all secrets. It is the purest knowledge, and because it gives direct perception of the self by realization, it is the perfection of dharma.
Shankaracharya explains that this knowledge is called 'secret' not because it is hidden but because it is subtle and revealed only to qualified seekers.
