Undisturbed by the World
One by whom the world is not agitated and who is not agitated by the world is dear to Me.
The ideal devotee neither disturbs others nor is disturbed by them. They move through life without creating ripples of conflict while remaining unruffled by others' provocations. This equanimity comes from security in divine love—when anchored in God, we don't need to prove ourselves or react defensively. Such persons are like water—yielding yet persistent, adapting yet maintaining their essence.
One by whom others are not disturbed and who is not disturbed by others, who is free from joy, envy, fear, and anxiety—such a devotee is dear to Me.
This describes the social dimension of spiritual development—inner peace manifests as harmonious relationships.

- What the Bhagavad Gita says about conflict with people close to you
The devotee Krishna calls dear is described twice over: he does not agitate others, and others do not agitate him. The verse gives the two equal weight, and adds what underwrites them both, freedom from elation, envy, fear and anxiety.
