The Raven - Messenger of the Gods
The raven as guide between worlds, companion of war goddesses, and bearer of prophecy.
Ravens accompany the Morrígan and other war deities, selecting the slain and carrying messages between worlds. Their black feathers connect them to the mysteries of death and prophecy. The raven sees what is hidden and speaks uncomfortable truths.
When the raven speaks, the wise listen; it knows what we fear to see.
The raven's association with battle and prophecy reveals Celtic attitudes toward death and fate.
