Bran son of Febal sailed west seeking the Islands of the Blessed after a woman of the Otherworld called him. He visited magical islands where sorrow and aging did not exist. His voyage teaches of the Celtic belief in paradisiacal realms accessible through the western sea.
There is a distant isle where sorrow never comes and time has no dominion.
