Divine Remembrance - Dhikr
The constant remembrance of Allah that brings tranquility to the heart and nearness to the Divine.
Dhikr (الذكر) encompasses all forms of remembering Allah—through recitation, contemplation, and mindful living. The Quran states: 'Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.' Dhikr includes reciting Allah's names, glorifying Him (SubhanAllah), praising Him (Alhamdulillah), and declaring His greatness (Allahu Akbar). The Prophet (PBUH) said the difference between one who remembers Allah and one who does not is like the living and the dead. Dhikr can be performed anywhere—making every moment an opportunity for worship and spiritual connection.
Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.
Ibn Arabi wrote that dhikr polishes the mirror of the heart—when polished through constant remembrance, the heart can reflect divine light and receive spiritual unveilings.

- What Islam says about gratitude
Remembrance is described as what settles the heart. Gratitude and calm are treated as one motion here, which is a claim worth testing rather than assuming.
