Charity and Giving
Sharing wealth with others is a practice of aparigraha for laypeople.
Dana (giving) is the positive expression of aparigraha. By giving away wealth, one practices non-attachment while supporting monastics and the needy. Generosity loosens the grip of possession.
Give freely; what you keep binds you, what you give frees you.
Giving is active non-possessiveness.
