Temple Worship (Puja)
Ritual worship at Jain temples honoring the Tirthankaras.
Jain puja involves ritual worship of Tirthankara images using various offerings. While the liberated Tirthankaras don't receive offerings, the ritual develops devotion and reflects on their qualities.
In worship, we contemplate the qualities we seek to develop.
Puja is a form of active meditation on Tirthankara qualities.
