Narada Bhakti Sutras

The Saint Sees God Everywhere and in Everyone

Narada teaches that the company of the holy trains the devotee to perceive the Divine pervading all beings and things.

Living among true devotees, one learns to see the Lord within and without, in all beings and in every circumstance, as the saints do. This vision is the natural fruit of love matured in holy company: the heart that loves God begins to recognize the beloved everywhere, dissolving hatred, contempt, and indifference toward others. Narada's devotees do not despise the world but see it transfigured, shining with the presence of the one they love. This perception transforms ordinary relationships into opportunities for worship and service. The saint's all-embracing vision becomes contagious to those who keep their company. To love God fully is at last to find Him gazing back from every face.

The lover of God sees Him in all, and all in Him.

Narada (tradition), Narada Bhakti Sutras tradition

The matured perception of God in all beings parallels the Gita's vision of the yogi who 'sees Me in all and all in Me' (6.30) and the Christian contemplative practice of finding God in all things taught by Ignatius of Loyola.
