Thurisaz - Thor's Power
Thurisaz represents the power of Thor, protection, and the force that destroys obstacles.
Thurisaz is associated with Thor and the giants. It represents protective force, the hammer that shatters obstacles, and the power to defend against chaos. This rune can be dangerous - it teaches that force should be used wisely and with clear purpose.
Thorn is very sharp; for every thane who grasps it, it is harmful.
Thurisaz embodies the ambivalent power of giants and the force needed to oppose them.
