Valhalla - The Hall of the Slain
Warriors who die bravely in battle are chosen by the Valkyries to feast eternally in Odin's hall.
Valhalla represented the ultimate warrior reward - eternal life among heroes, feasting and fighting until Ragnarok. The Valkyries chose the worthy slain, and only those who died bravely, weapon in hand, could be selected.
The brave live forever; cowards die countless deaths but reach no glory.
The promise of Valhalla encouraged warriors to embrace death in battle.
