Midgard - The Middle Enclosure
Midgard is the realm of humans, protected from giants by a wall made from Ymir's eyebrows.
Midgard sits in the middle of the cosmos, surrounded by the ocean where Jormungandr, the World Serpent, lies. The gods created a wall from Ymir's eyebrows to protect humans from the giants. Midgard is our place in the cosmic order.
In the center of the world the gods made a place for the sons of men, Midgard they called it.
Midgard represents humanity's protected place in a dangerous cosmos.
