Seidr - The Shamanic Art
Seidr was a form of Norse magic involving trance, prophecy, and communication with spirits.
Seidr was powerful magic practiced primarily by women (volvas) but also by Odin himself. Practitioners entered trance states to see fate, communicate with spirits, and work magic. Seidr connected the practitioner to ancestral wisdom and hidden knowledge.
The volva sits on the high seat, seeing what is hidden, speaking what is to come.
Seidr represents the Norse shamanic tradition.
