Umi no Kami - Sea Spirits

The kami of the ocean, revered by fishermen and coastal communities.

Umi no Kami are the powerful deities of the sea, including Watatsumi, the dragon king of the ocean. Coastal communities depend on these kami for safety at sea and bountiful catches, honoring them with shrine festivals and offerings before fishing expeditions.

We offer our gratitude to the kami of the sea for safe voyages and abundant catches.
