Kuyo - Memorial Services

Ritual ceremonies performed for the benefit of the deceased.

Kuyo are memorial services performed at intervals after death - typically on the 7th, 49th days, and annually thereafter. These rituals aid the spirit's transition, accumulate merit for the deceased, and maintain the connection between living and dead.

Through kuyo, we assist our beloved dead in their continuing journey.

Traditional, Buddhist-Shinto practice

Kuyo represents the active care descendants provide for ancestral welfare.
