Seva - Selfless Service
Serving others without expectation of reward as a path to spiritual growth.
Seva is service performed with humility and love, without seeking recognition. It dissolves ego, creates community bonds, and is considered as valuable as meditation and prayer.
One who performs selfless service, without thought of reward, shall attain their Lord and Master.
Seva is considered one of the most effective paths to spiritual liberation in Sikhism.

- What Sikhism says about seva and service
Service done without wanting to be seen doing it. The library places it level with prayer, because it works on the ego rather than on your reputation.
