Kesh - Uncut Hair
Keeping hair uncut as a symbol of acceptance of God's will and natural form.
Kesh, uncut hair, is the first of the Five Ks. It symbolizes acceptance of God's creation in its natural form and serves as a visible marker of Sikh identity.
My Sikh shall not use the razor. For him the use of razor is prohibited.
Kesh connects the Sikh to the tradition of rishis and sages who kept uncut hair.
