Buddha Nature - Tathagatagarbha
All beings possess the seed of awakening within.
Tathagatagarbha teaches that the potential for complete Buddhahood exists within all sentient beings. This 'Buddha nature' is obscured by adventitious defilements but never destroyed.
All beings are Buddhas, but obscured by adventitious stains.
Buddha nature provides confidence that enlightenment is possible for all.
