Freedom from Maya
Knowledge alone dissolves the illusion of maya.
Maya cannot withstand the light of knowledge. When Brahman is known, maya is seen as never having truly existed - like waking from a dream reveals its unreality.
When the higher knowledge arises, maya is seen to have been an appearance only.
Liberation is the recognition that bondage never truly existed.
