Country - Ngurra
The concept of country as living entity encompassing land, spirit, and people.
Country is not merely land but a living entity that includes the land, the sky, the water, the animals, the plants, and the people who belong to it. Country is alive, has feelings, and must be cared for as one would care for a relative.
We don't own the land. The land owns us.
The concept of country challenges Western notions of land as property.

- What Aboriginal Australians mean by belonging to Country
Country is treated as a living entity with feelings, to be cared for the way you would care for a relative. The relationship runs both ways, which is why it can be neglected.
