Elimination of Prejudice
All forms of racial, national, religious, and class prejudice must be eliminated as prerequisites for world peace and human flourishing.
Bahá'u'lláh and Abdu'l-Bahá taught that prejudice — of race, nationality, religion, class, or sex — is a lethal spiritual disease that prevents human unity. The elimination of prejudice is not merely a social goal but a spiritual imperative. Each individual must strive to identify and uproot their own prejudices, however subtle.
The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens.
The Bahá'í anti-prejudice teaching was remarkably ahead of its time, with Abdu'l-Bahá preaching racial equality in the United States in 1912.
