World Federal Government
A world federal government, collective security system, and international court of justice are necessary for lasting peace.
Bahá'u'lláh called on the world's rulers to convene and establish a collective security system — nations would retain sovereignty in domestic affairs while submitting to collective decisions on international disputes. Shoghi Effendi later elaborated this vision: a world legislature, executive, and judiciary would govern international affairs.
The time must come when the imperative necessity for the holding of a vast, an all-embracing assemblage of men will be universally realized.
The Bahá'í world governance vision anticipates the United Nations framework and goes beyond it in proposing binding international authority.
