Shoghi Effendi - Guardian of the Cause
Shoghi Effendi, appointed Guardian by Abdu'l-Bahá, systematized Bahá'í administration and translated the writings into English.
Shoghi Effendi (1897-1957) served as Guardian of the Bahá'í Faith from 1921 until his death. He translated most of Bahá'u'lláh's major works into English, established the Bahá'í administrative order worldwide, and wrote extensive guidance on the Faith's development. His letters form an indispensable part of Bahá'í guidance.
The world's equilibrium hath been upset through the vibrating influence of this most great, this new World Order.
Shoghi Effendi's translations are recognized as literary achievements in their own right, capturing the majesty of the original Arabic and Persian.
