Social Action and Development
Engaging in activities that improve the material conditions of communities is an expression of Bahá'í spiritual principles in action.
The Bahá'í community engages in social action and development as an expression of the principle that spiritual and material development must advance together. Bahá'í-inspired development organizations work in areas of education, health, agriculture, and community development, guided by principles of human dignity and participatory development.
Let deeds, not words, be your adorning.
Bahá'í development efforts were coordinated by the Office of Social and Economic Development, established at the Bahá'í World Centre in 1983.
