Bhagavad Gita

Divine Manifestations

Whatever is glorious, prosperous, or powerful, know that to spring from a fragment of My splendor.

Excellence in any form is a manifestation of divine glory. The most brilliant minds, beautiful creations, and powerful forces all reflect divine splendor. This teaching encourages us to see God's fingerprints in all excellence while recognizing that even the greatest manifestations are but a fragment of infinite glory. It inspires both appreciation of worldly excellence and humility before its transcendent source.

Know that all opulent, beautiful, and glorious creations spring from but a spark of My splendor.

Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita 10.41

Tagore found in this verse license to appreciate all beauty as divine—art, nature, and human achievement all reflecting the infinite.
