Bhagavad Gita

Equal Toward All

I envy no one, nor am I partial to anyone. I am equal to all. Yet those who worship Me with devotion live in Me, and I in them.

The Divine shows no favoritism—divine grace is available equally to all beings. Yet a reciprocal relationship exists: those who turn toward God with devotion experience intimate connection. This is not divine caprice but spiritual physics—those who open themselves receive. Like the sun shining on all equally, those who open their windows receive its light. Divine grace is unconditional; our reception of it is conditioned by our openness.

I envy no one, nor am I partial to anyone. I am equal to all. But whoever renders service unto Me in devotion is a friend, is in Me, and I am also a friend to them.

Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita 9.29

Madhvacharya emphasizes that God's grace is constant like the sun; variations in reception depend on the devotee's orientation, not divine preference.
