Bhagavad Gita

One Fragment Supports All

With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe.

The entire universe is supported by merely a fragment of divine power. This emphasizes God's inexhaustible nature—what seems infinite to us is infinitesimal to the Divine. Our cosmic home is supported effortlessly, leaving infinite divine energy unmanifested. This perspective induces humility and wonder—we inhabit a fraction of a fraction of infinite glory. Yet this fragment sustains galaxies, suggesting the unimaginable vastness of the whole.

With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe.

Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita 10.42

The Purusha Sukta similarly describes the manifest universe as one quarter of the Divine, three quarters remaining unmanifest—infinity cannot be exhausted.
