Bhagavad Gita

Fixed in Devotion

Those who fix their minds on Me and worship Me with unwavering faith are the best yogis.

When asked which path is superior—meditation on the formless or worship of the personal God—Krishna declares that devotees of the personal form are the highest yogis. This is not theological favoritism but practical wisdom: most minds need a focus for love, and the personal God provides this. Abstract meditation is difficult; personal devotion is natural. The heart finds its way more easily than the intellect.

Those who fix their minds on My personal form and are always engaged in worshiping Me with great and transcendental faith are considered by Me to be most perfect.

Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita 12.2

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu built his entire movement on this verse—the path of loving devotion to the personal God is the most direct route to liberation.
