Part of the Eternal
The living entities in this world are My eternal fragmental parts.
We are not separate from God but eternal parts of the Divine. Like sparks from a fire, we share the nature of our source while being distinct from it. This teaching establishes our essential divinity while acknowledging our current limitations. We are divine in essence but have forgotten our nature. Spiritual practice is not acquiring something new but remembering who we really are.
The living entities in this conditioned world are My eternal fragmental parts. Due to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind.
This verse establishes the ontological relationship between soul and God—we are of the same nature but eternally distinct, like rays of the sun.

- What the Bhagavad Gita says about the self
Krishna calls living beings his own eternal fragments, currently struggling with the senses. The self here is not self-made; it is a piece of something.
