The Vision of Yoga
By the mercy of Vyasa, I have heard this supreme and most confidential yoga directly from Krishna.
Sanjaya received the ability to witness the dialogue through the grace of Vyasa, compiler of the Vedas. This establishes the tradition (parampara) through which sacred knowledge flows. We too receive the Gita through a chain of transmission reaching back to the original speakers. Gratitude to this lineage is appropriate—we stand on the shoulders of countless teachers who preserved and transmitted this wisdom.
By the mercy of Vyasa, I have heard these most confidential talks directly from the master of all mysticism, Krishna, who was speaking personally to Arjuna.
The parampara—teacher-to-student succession—is honored here. We receive not through individual genius but through graceful transmission across generations.
