The Sacred Grove - Nemeton
The sacred clearing in the forest where druids gathered to perform rituals and seek wisdom.
The nemeton was the heart of druidic practice - a sacred grove where the sky met the trees, where ceremonies honored the gods and the dead. These groves were inviolable sanctuaries where truth was spoken and oaths were sworn.
In the sacred grove, no lie can be spoken, for the trees themselves bear witness.
The nemeton tradition shows the Celtic reverence for trees as living portals to the sacred.
