Manannán mac Lir - Lord of the Sea
The god of the sea and the Otherworld, guardian of the passage between worlds.
Manannán mac Lir rules the sea and the Otherworld island of Emain Ablach. His magical items include a cloak of forgetfulness, a self-propelling boat, and the crane bag of treasures. He guards the boundaries between worlds and guides worthy souls across.
The sea god knows all passages between the worlds and opens them for the worthy.
Manannán represents the Celtic view of the sea as gateway to the Otherworld.
