The Persistent Widow

Persistent prayer moves even the most resistant circumstances—never give up.

A widow persistently pleads with an unjust judge until he grants her justice just to get relief. Jesus draws the contrast: if an unjust judge yields to persistence, how much more will a righteous God answer His children who cry out? The parable is about persistence in prayer, not wearing God down but aligning our hearts with His purposes through sustained seeking. Prayer is not overcoming God's reluctance but laying hold of His willingness. Keep asking, seeking, knocking—God will bring about justice for his chosen ones.

And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?

Jesus Christ, Gospel of Luke 18:7

George Müller, who supported thousands of orphans through prayer alone, demonstrated that 'the beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety.'
