Confucianism

Cultivated Through Education

Anyone can become a junzi through proper education and effort.

The junzi is not born but made. Through education, practice, and self-cultivation, anyone can develop into an exemplary person. Social origin does not determine moral destiny.

By nature people are similar; by practice they become different.

Confucius, Analects 17.2

Education and practice determine moral character.
