The Law of Neutralization
The adept rises above the swing of the pendulum.
While most are carried along by rhythmic cycles unconsciously, the adept learns to neutralize the backward swing through polarization to a higher plane. This does not stop the rhythm but allows one to remain unaffected by its negative pole.
The Master rises above the swing of the Rhythmic Pendulum, polarizing himself on the Higher Self.
Neutralization is the practical method for achieving emotional and mental stability.

The Kybalion does not claim the adept escapes the cycle. It claims he refuses the back-swing by polarising to the higher pole while the pendulum keeps moving. The rhythm continues; only being carried by it stops.
