Carefulness (Samiti)
Practicing careful movement, speech, and action to minimize harm.
Samiti is the practice of carefulness in walking, speaking, accepting alms, moving objects, and disposing of bodily waste. This mindfulness prevents harming small creatures inadvertently.
Walk carefully; countless beings share the path.
The five samitis extend ahimsa to everyday actions.
