The Well of Urd
The sacred well at Yggdrasil's roots contains the accumulated deeds of all beings, forming the substance of fate.
The Well of Urd at the base of Yggdrasil holds the accumulated wyrd of all beings. The Norns draw water from this well to nourish the World Tree. Our deeds fall into this well and become part of the substance from which fate is woven.
At the well they wait, the weavers of fate, drawing waters dark with the deeds of all.
The Well of Urd represents the repository of all past action that shapes future possibilities.
