While fate exists, humans have the power to shape their destiny through courageous and honorable action.
Norse fatalism did not mean passive acceptance. Rather, knowing that fate exists freed warriors to act boldly. Since the time of death is set, fear is useless - better to meet fate with courage and shape one's wyrd through glorious deeds.
Fear not death, for the hour of your doom is set and none may escape it.
