The Nine Worlds
Nine distinct realms exist on the World Tree, each home to different beings.
The cosmos contains nine worlds: Asgard (gods), Midgard (humans), Jotunheim (giants), Vanaheim (Vanir gods), Alfheim (elves), Svartalfheim (dwarves), Helheim (dead), Niflheim (ice), and Muspelheim (fire). Each has its nature and inhabitants.
Nine worlds I know, the nine in the tree with mighty roots beneath the earth.
The nine worlds represent the full range of existence from fire to ice.
