Muspelheim - The Realm of Fire
Muspelheim is the primordial realm of fire, whose flames will consume the world at Ragnarok.
Muspelheim is pure fire, guarded by the fire giant Surtr. Its flames contributed to creation when they met the ice of Niflheim. At Ragnarok, Surtr will ride forth from Muspelheim to burn the worlds. Fire is both creative and destructive.
From Muspelheim's fires came the spark of creation; in its flames all shall end.
Muspelheim represents fire's dual nature as creative and destructive force.
