Bodhicitta - The Awakening Mind
The aspiration to attain enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings.
Bodhicitta is the heart of Mahayana Buddhism - the sincere wish to achieve complete enlightenment to help all beings. It has two aspects: aspiring bodhicitta (the wish) and engaging bodhicitta (the practice).
The moment we generate bodhicitta, we become bodhisattvas.
Bodhicitta transforms all actions into causes for enlightenment.
