Shunyata - Emptiness

All phenomena lack inherent, independent existence.

Shunyata does not mean nothingness but rather the absence of inherent existence. All things exist dependently - through causes, conditions, and mental designation. Understanding emptiness liberates from fixed views.

Emptiness is not nihilism - it is the womb of compassion.

Nagarjuna, Mulamadhyamakakarika

Emptiness and dependent origination are two sides of the same truth.
