Tasbih - Glorification of Allah
The practice of glorifying Allah through phrases like SubhanAllah that brings reward and peace.
Tasbih (التسبيح) is glorifying Allah, typically through phrases like 'SubhanAllah' (Glory be to Allah), 'Alhamdulillah' (Praise be to Allah), and 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is Greatest). The Prophet (PBUH) taught that saying 'SubhanAllah' 33 times, 'Alhamdulillah' 33 times, and 'Allahu Akbar' 34 times after each prayer fills one's scale of deeds. Tasbih is a form of dhikr that can be done anytime—while walking, waiting, or before sleep. It fills otherwise empty moments with worship and maintains awareness of Allah. Regular tasbih transforms one's consciousness.
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth glorifies Allah.
The Prophet (PBUH) said: 'Two words that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scales, beloved to the Most Merciful: SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahil-'Azim.'
