The Ages of Creation
The multiple creations and destructions that precede our current world.
The current world is not the first creation. Previous worlds were created and destroyed, each serving as a lesson for the gods. Our world emerged from these prior attempts, carrying their lessons. We too may face destruction if we fail to fulfill our purpose.
This is not the first world, nor may it be the last.
Multiple creations show the Mayan view of cosmic history as cyclic, not linear.
